FCA Graduates-did they make it?
Yes they did! All 15 seniors finished very well. They are done! Ready for the next phase of life. Not the end but the beginning. Well done. So proud.
FCA Senior Trip
We made it! All FCA Seniors home safe and sound. What a great trip. Not once did we ever have to worry about ANYTHING going on that wasn’t supposed to be going on. It’s just not their style – or character.
No sneaking out or trying participate in something they weren’t supposed too. No, they were in every night before curfew, always asked first if they could do something, courteous, helpful, fun, thoughtful, and grateful. Oh there were some hi jinks going on but nothing but a closet & scary noises getting some heart rates up.
I couldn’t be prouder of a group of people. They are ready. Almost but not quite and it’s not about them. Class of 2012… Well done. Well done.
FCA Senior Trip: Update 4
We wake up to a completely clean kitchen/ living room. All the food is packed & ready to go. What an amazing group of people.
Yesterday was go karts & Put Put, lunch @ Back Porch for one group and Goat Feathers for another. Afternoon was naps, playing in the Gulf coast surf, and laughing. Dinner was JoJo chicken and shrimp. Then a walk on the beach @ sunset with the moon & stars rising & popping out everywhere. Pictures and more laughing.
This class of 2012 is getting ready to launch well. Close to being done but not yet. Hot seat last night was Brown, Brooks, Boyd, & last but certainly not least the one and only Thomas B Berg.
The house is quite now but will soon come alive with the hustle of packing and “this went way to fast” comments. So does four years. “can we stay another week”, no we can’t just like we can’t stay another four years. “but we’re not ready to go” oh yes you are ready to go. You are going to do well.
Heading home much like heading into the next phase of life. Got to do it. Packed and ready.
FCA Senior Trip: Day 3.
Great day at the beach and pool. Perfect weather. Dinner @ Red Bar. Hot seat for Molly, Emmy, Harper, & Dede. Chocolate cake & grilled cheese sandwiches midnight snacks. Headed to Destin for games & go-karts now.
What’s going on with FCA Seniors!
Great time at the beach yesterday! Ultimate Frisbee in the surf. Guess who won that one? Bike ride to Seaside. One hat lost. Drinks @ Modica Market, a little shopping and a gander @ the Truman House. Burgers, watermelon & Blue Bell Key Lime Pie ice cream. The best. Hot Seat time for Peyton, Kristin, Sarah, & Pasha. Getting ready for launch 2012!
FCA Senior Trip 2012
We made it! Shades of Summer @ Grayton Beach. 100% of FCA Seniors are on this trip. Going to be way to much fun!
FCA Night Golf Tournament-To Much Fun!
Congrats to the Adams team for their 1st place win last night with a 8 under par. The longest drive went to FCA alum Daniel Davis. There was a tie for 2nd between the Vander Elst & Wittman teams with 5 under each. Great fun was had by all and no one suffered from the lightning storm or rain delay. Thanks to all golfers for helping with our FCA need based financial aid. Good job!
Mack-Hatcher Northwest Extension – Are we getting there?
Apparently we are! Here’s some evidence. The City of Franklin has purchased 29 acres from Livingfield More according to The Tennessean and local beat writer Kevin Walters. FCA made our contribution to the condemnation phase about a year ago when we sold a small portion of our land to the City of Franklin for the Mack-Hatcher right of way.
Here’s the article from the Tennessean: http://tinyurl.com/d5shh24.
Our new campus will face Mack-Hatcher and be very near the 96W & Mack-Hatcher high-speed round-about. See the map.
